2nd Meeting of the National Council for minimum wage

As an EuroCham Board Member and Chairman of the Human Resources Committee, Mr. CHHEAV Narath, attended the second meeting of the National Council for Minimum Wage on August 28, 2023.

The second round of discussions to determine the minimum wage for textiles, apparel, footwear, travel goods, and bags for 2024 was held by the National Council for Minimum Wage of the third mandate and was presided over by H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training.

In this meeting, the Minister paid close attention to the requests and suggestions from both the employers and the employees, and he provided more details on the issues raised by both parties. Despite the fact that no figures have been disclosed, the three council parties have had a thorough discussion marked by respect, professionalism, and maturity. The council then decided to continue the conversation on September 4, 2023.

Mr. CHHEAV Narath has been a member of the National Council for Minimum Wage (NCMW) and involved in the minimum wage discussions since 2021.
