EuroCham: Meeting with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training

Mr. CHHEAV Narath, Managing Director of CoGen Consulting Group, EuroCham Board Member and Chairman of the Human Resources Committee, participated in the meeting at the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training along with other EuroCham's committees to have a discussion about a variety of subjects with H.E. HENG Sour, the Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, and his team.

H.E. HENG Sour stated that the labour legislation needed to be revised to take into account the rise in independent contractors, gig workers, and service providers in the nation. He also expressed a strong desire to collaborate on these issues. H.E. continued, stating that in order to create capacity for recent graduates, apprenticeship programs needed to be strengthened.

The committees discussed a variety of issues, such as digitizing employment contracts, advancing the fight against sexual harassment in the apparel industry, enhancing working conditions for employees in the agricultural sector, and more.
